This little pram quilt and shoes will be going to baby Darcy very shortly.
I will take the pins out of the shoes first though and put the buttons on, because I've heard she's a nice little baby.
The shoes and quilt are from this lovely Japanese craft book, which has very easy to read patterns.
(For reference, I'll call it CRAFT BOOK 1, as I plan on showing more)
ISBN 457911017x
There are lots of yummy things in it
Baby things, like bibs, shoes, and quilts
and some lovely bags for Mummy,
All very yummy.
I got my copy from yesasia.com , who unfortunately for my purse, make it far too easy to buy.
This is what I HAD to make today
My little girl has always loved chickens and the title of my blog is what she has insisted is her real name ever since she could talk.
So when I showed her a photo of Jane's lovely hens, it started off a week of constant nagging to get one for her.
We reached a compromise, yesterday's little bear was named Bunty (after one of the said hens) and today I had to promise to make a her a chicken to cuddle.
Jane is inspirational. She is witty and very talented and she can even spell 'shenanigans' correctly.
Thanks Jane and Juju (another great inspiration) for encouraging me to start a blog.
Two lovely ladies.
My children are off school with a virus that is making them very hot and crabby - and their Mother even crabbier ! .
I did manage to get this birthday present for my niece finished though, we even got it wrapped before she knocked on the door. Just.
The flower pin is detachable and the bunny bag charm was designed by my little girl Molly.
I love Jenn's poem about blackberries, it's just the sort of 'Spike Milliganish' daftness that makes the world a better place.
So I've decided, I'm going to be silly, daft and inappropriate for the rest of the day. Particularly at the supermarket.
In the meantime, here is Poorly Martin who was made from dyed recycled woolen blankets, for my children to cuddle when they are ill.
He makes them feel better by being very,
very
very
Please bear with me, I have no idea how to do anything here yet, so I'd better shout up the stairs to get my lad to come and help me, AGAIN.
Meanwhile, hopefully here is a picture of a little bear and his friend getting ready to go to Juju.
