Butch

The hardest thing for me with this blog business, is how and what to write. I worry about the grammar, the punctuation and the coherence. I wish I could write like Jane.

I've had this stored away on my computer for months and this morning actually got around to reading it.

Unfortunately, the only two things that have remained in my brain are,

  1. Be sexy .
  2. Don't take yourself seriously.

?

How can I be sexy if I'm not supposed to take myself seriously ?

What I mean is, I would have to work hard at being 'sexy' and then wouldn't that be taking myself seriously ??

Why would I want to be sexy anyway ???

Now I'm even more confused, and no, the title of this post does not refer to me, it's the name of my MOS contribution.

Hello

Img_6227

I love my little sister very much, and she became even more precious to me when our big sister died at a young age. We have lots of things in common, we have the same sense of humour, we can drink our brothers under the table and we both love and married sane, sensible men ( we like to call them the Fun Police ).

However, there are times when I wonder how we could possibly be related. For a start, she is very intelligent - she's a scientist, she's tried to explain to me what she does but none of it goes in.

She is also very organised and she does not leave everything to the last minute, unlike yours truly.

What really shocked me whilst visiting her though, was the fact that she only has one reel of cotton in the whole house !! and it's grey !!!, - she say's that's the most useful colour for mending.

Yeegads, What planet is SHE from ?

Here's tiny Ted and Ernie, two little teddies made for my little nephew Harvey

Img_6226

This was the closest we got to a picnic, British summer = torrential rain.

If you haven't seen it already, have a look at the JCB song, she talks about, it's very lovely.

Stonehenge

No matter how many times you've seen it, you still have to stop the car and look again.

Cool.

Disappearing acts

We are away until Friday, we are going to see our favourite little boy, who had a very narrow escape here this weekend . Thank Goodness, he was sent back !

Speaking of things disappearing in the blink of an eye,

It takes a LOT longer to make anano inspired biscuits than it does for them to be eaten.

Back on Friday.

Bewildered

Well. I never found the camera connection lead thingy. How can something like that go missing ?

I suppose if you have children in your house, that's a very silly question, but I'm completely baffled. Luckily I found the lead from our old camera and Hoorah, it fits !.

Here is the little book I was going to show the other day,

BOOK 5

Img_6093

ISBN4 576 04213 0

It's a very small book, with just a few patterns, but it's one of my favourites,

Img_6095

I love this mobile, made of wire and fabric

Img_6096

Pics aren't very clear, but they are better here. Click on work and the mobiles are listed there.

Img_6097

I also love this mobile of a cloud with little beaded wire and fabric raindrops, sorry the photo is useless, but I'm working on one of these now, so pics soon.

Img_6099

A quilted tea cosy that looks extremely easy to do  - I'll let you know.

Img_6100

Finally a very lovely owl bag made from felt.  I think the elephant is a place mat, but he could easily be made into a bag too.

This is a tiny book, it 's more inspirational, rather than pages of patterns and there are lots of cute Japanese sites listed at the back if  you ever get the time to go through them ( like that's gonna happen ).

It was also cheap, about £5  from Yesasia, so well worth it in my opinion.

My Mum and Ma-in-law gave me money for my birthday, so It's obvious what I spent it on - more books will be listed soon.

Missing

I was going to post some photographs of another Japanese craft book today, but bizarrely, the connection lead for the camera has gone missing !!.  Nobody seems to know how, or why, this has happened, so it's obviously unplugged itself and taken off on it's own accord.

Hopefully, it will return soon.

If you have some time to spare, here is a direct link to Yesasia's many, many craft books.  As with Amazonjp you only get the front cover and ISBN, but if you put the latter into your search engine, quite often you can find other pics too.

Happy looking and wish me luck in my looking !

When girls go crazy...

with the paint pots.

Img_6001

This was originally supposed to be a playhouse for both Molly and Billy.

Img_6003

For obvious reasons, he now refuses to set foot in there.

Img_6008

We are now plotting to do the same thing indoors.

The boys can live in the tent.

and her little friend, Tiny piggy.

Perfect post

Look what arrived in the post this morning.

BOOK 4

Img_5926

ISBN4-529-03441-0

Img_5927

Bonny little bears.

Img_5929

Marvellous mice

Img_5930

Cute kitties.

Img_5931

Enchanting elephants.

This book doesn't seem to be available at yesasia, but you can get it at Amazon jp.

There are lots of lovely patterns ( approx 20) , some pretty, some not so pretty, but all cute.
