What beautiful colours, working in Oiliy design would be my dream job.

Either that, or a Champagne taster.

: )

What would be the job of your dreams ?...

Update... Mav has already done this ! and she has some great replies .

Speechless

BLOODY NORA  !

A big thank you to anyone that placed a bid on Dolly, and for all the lovely words of encouragement I received. I'm a bit flabbergasted to say the least.

To keep my head from swelling, I make something that's one inch tall and I think I'm Mrs Clever-knickers, and then I come across these -click on the 'gallary' link, and you'll see some little sweeties that are 1cm high.

1 cm !

How on Earth ?

Introducing...

Dolly,

Dilly the butterfly

and Olive the tiny teddy

Img_8177

Standing 6" high, Dolly is made from ratinee mohair and has a fixed head, thread jointed arms and legs, and is wearing a little reversible dress made from vintage oilily fabrics.

Img_8168_1

She comes with her pet butterfly, Dilly, who is made from felt and wire, and a very tiny teddy bear named Olive - who is also made from felt and snugly wrapped up in her own vintage oilily blanket, ready for cuddling.

Dolly is a thoroughly modern miss - hence her love of oilily, so she will need to go a to a loving home willing to indulge her love of fashion and the high life.

This little trio with these fabrics are a one off combination, and will come to you in a hand painted wooden chest to keep them safe and warm on their journey.

Due to extremely small parts, Dolly is not suitable for small children. Although you can always buy her for yourself, and pretend it's for your daughter when she gets older. Ha !

She comes with three shrinky dink charms, and if you bid and win, please let me know that you read my blog, and I will throw in some other little bits and pieces too.

The e-bay link is here,  : )

Do you know, it took me three hours to work out how to list her on e-bay . THREE HOURS ! - how can anybody take that long ??? I've had a baby quicker than that.I think I have 'instructions dyslexia' - I stare at the screen and my mind goes blank.

Thank you everyone , for your kind words of encouragement and  for the very helpful advice on my last post.

I hope you have a swell weekend.

Stitches

My husband bought me this for Valentine's Day, he doesn't know he did, but he will when the credit card bill comes in.

Very sweet !

I'm putting a mohair bear up for sale on Friday, she's going to be a little modern Miss, in a vintage Oilily dress, with accessories. I think I'll probably do it through E-bay, as I have no idea how much to price her at. How does everyone else decide how much to charge ?, I'd love to hear from you.  : )

It was all fun and games

until somebody lost an eye.

Big, fat and cuddly. Just like my Nana was.

Share and share alike.

There's not much going on around here - everyone has been ill - AGAIN.

I think germs are the only thing children ever happily share.

This afternoon I am going to attempt something like this, although, how anybody can get that much detail on such a small stamp, is mind boggling.

I've also been getting some good crafting vibes from here and here.

I'm still having e-mail problems, so if anyone has mailed me and they haven't heard back, hopefully it will be resolved later. Bye bye !

Print Gocco

There's definitely no housework getting done in this house for the next few days

Img_8069

This is much more fun.

I've made about 50,000 gift tags with my new Print Gocco (it's very addictive).

Next stop, printing on fabric.
