Thanksgiving

I think having a Thanksgiving day is a lovely idea. We don't do it over here in the U.K, instead, we celebrate ' Complaining ' and we celebrate it mostly every day. Complaining about the weather mostly, but also teenagers, taxes, the quality of our television programmes, the price of food/petrol/everything else, etc etc etc blah blah blah.

We also can't bear to take a compliment - "What this old dress this looks nice on me ? - pah - no, it was really cheap ", and it's not done to be proud of your achievements because that's showing off and showing off is just not British. There's only one thing worse than being a show off, and that's being a winner - God help you if you win a race, because our hearts are with the person who came last.

What a strange lot we are.

Anyway, I'm going to be terribly un- British and say  THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH for visiting my blog, and for liking my stuff and for your lovely, funny, encouraging comments. It means such a lot to me, and it bothers me a lot that I don't have enough time to answer each and every one of you. My world would be a lot less without all of the beauty and talent and inspiration that you give me. You all feel like best friends to me. Thank you.

Man, I feel uncomfortable typing that. I expect you're all going to need the sick bucket now.

: )

I also want to say a huge thank you to my lovely sister (I love you sister) who is taking me to New York tomorrow !

NEW YORK !

I can't believe it, I am so excited that I think I'm going to fall over and spin around in circles - WOO-HOO.

Mind you,I feel sick to my stomache about leaving my babies for 6 days, and I'm crapping myself about flying, but I'm sure I'll cope with the help of a fancy cocktail or two.  : )

Back next week, I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving and weekend and thank you again.

In the book there are lots of these little bags hung on a christmas tree. Ummm - yeah right -because we're all going to have lots of spare time to do that - yes ?. I strongly suspect I'll be decorating my tree with my usual christmas tat (dicionary definition - tastelessness by virtue of being cheap and vulgar).

* Sorry to mention the christmas word, it's devilishly early I know, but I had nothing else to post about . Well, not unless you wanted to hear about how long it took to get through my pile of ironing today ?

No ?

I thought not.

Because I'm even beginning to bore myself now.
