Panda purse

My Month of Softies contribution

Img_7223

Which tied in nicely with the Cotton & Paint magazine swap with Siow Chin.

I love that magazine, I even took it to bed to read last night. How 'sad' is that ?

Today I am frantically working on things for the children's Christmas fair on Friday, I've made some robins ( I'll be putting the pattern up on Fri ),  there are penguins to be sewn up, and stickers to be made.  I also have a Christmas craft session with 25 seven year olds tomorrow (God help me),  and was wondering if anybody has any ideas for things to do that take about half an hour. ?

I have kept the morning free, so any cutting out or prep can be done then, and yes, I've already thought of  taking plenty of Christmas tape to gag them if the noise level gets too high - which it will.

Any other suggestions (craft or crowd control), would be very gratefully received.

Busy

Oh, I have been a busy girl now that I'm feeling better.

This one is winging it's way across the waters,

Img_6453

this teeny, tiny one has reached a special friend in America,

Img_6465

I've nearly finished a pink baby sockmonkey for a very cute little baby girl and I'm working on some elephant and pig softies.

I've also discovered this very wonderful site.

Fuzzy

I can't think of anything to say today, I have a head cold and my brain's a bit fuzzy (not much difference there then). I have managed to get this one finished though,

and look what I found last night.  Click on the 'sold out' category on the left and then on teddy/ nuigurumi at the top, to view this ultimate cuteness , particularly the nuigurumi section, (click on the little buttons to the right ) . The dolls and Zakka are worth a look too.

I think I found this site here -click on 'artists' at the top, but due to fluffy-headness, I really can't remember.

Happy looking and have a great weekend,  I'm off to try and work out how to make a tiny felt pram.

This is all I've managed to do over the last couple of days, due to the fact that I've spent far too much time looking at squillions of lovely blogs and websites. I'm really going to have to be more disciplined and limit my perusing.

Here ,here ,here, hereand here are just a few of the gorgeous ones I've come across.

If people don't believe me when I say I do things like this instead of the housework, I'm going to take a photo of my ironing pile to prove it. It's scary, I think I saw it move yesterday.

Molly asked me this morning, how to spell the noise an elephant makes.

Is it Bbbmmmwwwer ? or Mmmmbwer ? or what ?. What does it even start with ???

We're all stumped, she wouldn't accept

'T-R-U-M-P-E-T-Y T-R-U-M-P'

She wants to spell the sound, so whoever comes up with the best suggestion in the comments box, I'll make them a little animal purse of their choice.

Good Luck, I've been walking around all day , just trying to make the sound. God knows what my neighbours must think.

Have a great weekend, Byeee !!

Kitty Purse

Well, I managed to get one purse done,

Img_5645

Her tail is looped at the back, to hold your keys,

or a teeny tiny friend.

Img_5648

Her arm has a little snap fastening, she has polka dot lining, and she's about the right size to hold those oh-so important credit cards.

Img_5657

She's a bit wonky (aren't we all ), and although fun to make, was very time consuming, so I might turn some of the drawings into softies instead.

Tomorrow is for starting my MOS sock monkey, I don't know if anyone else is the same, but I always seem to leave things til the last possible moment, and then I'm rushing around like a headless chicken.

Speaking of headless chickens, I got a fantastic one in the post this week.

Confused ?, Puzzled ?, Worried ?.

I'll show you tomorrow.
