The pattern came from Craft book 12, only Milly has a different face - which I'm not sure about. The bunny in the book has very delicate features, which I think would probably go better with the linen ?
I don't think I can be arsed to change her now though, so I expect she'll stay like this.
This will probably be my last post until Monday. My lovely, lovely sister and her family are coming to visit, so I shall be far too busy, eating, talking, laughing, and spending money on sparkly things .
I hope you have as much fun over the weekend as we intend to.
No crafting today, Molly is poorly and home from school, so we've been busy having a cuddle and watching Maisy. We love Maisy.
Here's a photo of Pink baby sockmonkey
who reached her destination safely, looks like she slept all the way.
The little quilt she's sleeping on, has been wrapped, ready to send off to a friend's new born baby girl ( yay, another girl -we WILL rule the world one day ! ), I forgot to take a photo of the quilt, but here's a close up of the applique,
This is about the best I can do when it comes to quilting, it's basically five 4" squares x six 4" squares, with an applique panel at the top and the quilting is 'stitched in the ditch' ( do I sound like I know what I'm talking about ? ). The idea came from Childhood treasures by Caroline Zoob ISBN 1 84172 477 7, which is a fantastically inspirational book using vintage textiles to make gifts for children.
One day, I would like to be able to create quilts like this and this and this, but I doubt it.
Thankyou to everyone who commented on my last post, you really helped me to stop getting in such a tizzy about it all. : )
