I can't think why I got this in the post ?
I mean, why would a person see this and think of me ? - what a bloody cheek !
Clutter in my house ? Never !
Ahem.
This week's wips...
Patchwork bag, which is a present for someone, I still haven't got around to making one for me - because I've had a bad attack of lazy-itus.
And a new bear who is much bigger than my usuals, I made his body and legs too small, so he's been laying on my desk looking sadly at me, waiting for new ones, for a week now.
It's a toss-up between finishing him and doing the housework. Such a difficult choice.
not.
Aw the bear looks so sweet...being so patient. He's lovely.

Sod the house work - I'd finish the bear!. You can't leave him looking so sad now can you! I'll look forward to seeing a photo of him when he's finished.
Love the bag too - lazy-itus? I've had that for ages, wonder if it's catching???

definately finish the bear the housework won't be any worse tomorrow- I am gonna quilt this afternoon as i know the ironing can wait and its raining again! regards Tracey

Got to be the bear. He looks like such a lovely patient chap. He def. deserves to be finished. Anyway the children have the summer (yep what a laugh in this weather) hols now so the house will be trashed in hours anyway. Mine broke up today, can you hear the panic in my typing? LOL Still Homebase had loads of 20p tester pots and we we have loads of cardboard boxes, so we can craft galore without being interrupted by silly things like having to go to bed on time. Hope you have as much fun Lyn.

I love the picture above, it fit“s to my room, as well. Great.
Posted by: Vera | July 20, 2007 at 04:08 PM
just replace "clutter" with "rich environment"- doesn't that sound so much better!
Posted by: Mimi K | July 20, 2007 at 04:15 PM
love the bag, can i ask, what is the blue spotty fabric on the bottom strip?. i'm not usually a big fan of blue but that print is really pretty.
it is raining again here too. its the last day of term and mother nature decided we all need another good soaking!
Posted by: lucykate crafts | July 20, 2007 at 04:32 PM
First the bear of course, then the housework - unless you find something better to do...
The bag is really beautiful, I like the fabrics. I am sure the card was meant for me and you only received it by mistake ;-)
Posted by: Christine | July 20, 2007 at 06:12 PM
What a cute card! And the bear is, as usual, AMAZINGLY darling!
Posted by: RAchelle | July 20, 2007 at 07:30 PM
IS THE METAL HOOK FIXED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR TO KEEP THE BEARS FROM ESCAPING...OR DO THEY ESCAPE AND LOCK YOU IN ?...THE ONLY CHOICE IS TO LOCK YOUR SELF IN... AND FINISH THAT BEAR...POOR CHAP HOW WILL HE LEARN TO SWIM..

I love your "little limbed" bear - he is so comical-kind-of - sweet. I hope you chose him over the housework - the housework will always be there - not every day you get to create a little personality!
Posted by: stacey | July 21, 2007 at 10:53 AM
Oh you've got to finish the bear - no real choice is it!

Nothing wrong with being compared with Van Gogh...
Love the bag..and that sweet bear.
You are one of the MOST creative peeps on the net...IMHO...
Nevermind the mess...

Oh my gosh the postcard fits me too! I try to not think of it as clutter, but rather as a source of inspiration....

Love the material combinations in the bag. What a lucky recipient!
Posted by: Vicky | July 22, 2007 at 10:09 AM
Beautiful bag! Housework is ruined five minutes later, but the bear will last a lifetime! I'm going to have to use that argument myself.
Posted by: gena | July 22, 2007 at 02:53 PM
Sincerely, truly... thank you for posting your clutter. I feel much better, less isolated and inferior. Your honesty is a kindness to clutter-birds like me.

Hah hah - my mother in law sent me this card too for my birthday! I didn't know what she meant either!! Love your little bears - gorgeous.

Looks familiar. I describe my daughter's trail as a river of creativity. Mine, however, are piles:-)

Your so funny! Love the bag wish I was the recipient and forget the housework the bear is in NEED.
Posted by: carolyn | July 23, 2007 at 09:11 PM
Love seeing a REAL work space! Maybe you'll inspire pictures of other real work spaces - if I can uncover mine I might post a photo too.
Posted by: ninimakes | July 23, 2007 at 11:20 PM
That's funny... someone sent me that card too! Just wanted to say Lyn, I love your blog. It was the first one I discovered (I didn't know this crafting/blogging world existed)after reading about you in Embroidery Magazine and you always makes me smile! And of course you make such gorgeous stuff. So now I'm hooked and read loads of blogs... much more preferable than housework. So much so that this week I've even started my own.

I love the bag it is so cute.
Posted by: Kate | July 27, 2007 at 01:30 AM
I love the look on that bear's face: such soulful expression. I do hope that the housework didn't win. Talking of which, I had better go and do some. My house is so bad right now that Van Gogh is putting me to shame....
Posted by: DML | July 28, 2007 at 03:10 PM
The bear is wonderful. As usual!
It is good to see that your space looks like mine. Creative people can NOT be bothered with tasks like cleaning everyday!!! That's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)

Molly Chicken:
This postcard would be most appropriate in my place. It makes me smile to read you and I thank you.

Get on with the bear and make your bag before inspiration flies over the window :)
Posted by: Ghene | July 30, 2007 at 08:29 AM
Hey, how do you get a sewing area that tidy is what I want to know??? I have an 8 seater table about a foot thick at the moment of crafting treasures..
I stick by the motto of "I am creative, you can't expect me to be neat too"..
I am not lazy, I am just economical with my time :O)
Love the blog and will be back.

i love that bear!!! do you have a pattern?
Posted by: kate | July 30, 2007 at 06:54 PM
dearest mollychicken - how new, fresh and organised everything appears as your recreate in wonderfully detailed stages and I also run a home in organised choas and wouldn't have it any other way. As quoted from my fridge magnet - "Make yourself at home - clean the kitchen !"

Hi. I have made about ten softies and would like to make something out of mohair for my two-year-old-but I can't figure out where to buy it. I love your bears and would be so grateful if you could tell me where to look for mohair. Kind regards.

Lovely little bear, I want to kiss his nose - he's almost edible he's so cute!
I heard from a little birdie (of the Snowbear species) that today's a special day for you - Happy Birthday! Which explains the card - though I'm wondering how they got a picture of my bedroom on there :-)
Hope you're having a wonderful summer! xo
